Matchmaking and Communication for the Alpine Climate

ALPACA, the Alpine Partnership for Local Climate Action, and the Alpine Climate Board of the Alpine Convention kindly invite you to participate in two common events: a workshop for matchmaking and a conference on climate change communication in the Alps.

11 and 12 March 2020
Schloss Maretsch, Bolzano/Bozen (IT)

Listening, storytelling and matchmaking:
let’s accelerate the transition towards climate neutral and resilient Alps

Wednesday, 11 March, 9.00 to 15.00
Join the Matchmaking Workshop of the Alpine Climate Board to take further steps towards the implementation of the Alpine Climate Target System 2050. Representatives of all sectors of activity in the Alps and from local to cross-border level are invited to embark on pathways for action. We will present the Board’s ideas of implementation pathways for ten sectors of the Alpine Climate Target System 2050, refine their timeframe together and especially seek commitment from the stakeholders to answer the question of: who implements?

Wednesday, 11 March, 3.00, to Thursday, 12 March, 08.30 to 12.30
Join the Climate Communication Conference by ALPACA, an initiative of CIPRA International, Alliance in the Alps and the Alpine Town of the Year Association to strengthen the transregional exchange of knowledge and experience. Together we will figure out how to make citizens and decision makers move faster to reduce their impact on the climate and adapt to the changes!

For questions, you can contact Katharina Gasteiger from Alliance in the Alps (info@alpenallianz.org) and Katharina Zwettler from the Austrian Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism (katharina.zwettler@bmnt.gv.at)

Details of the programme and registration will be made available in January 2020.
