AlpBioEco contributes to the BBW ForWerts Program on regional circular bioeconomy
The BBW ForWerts International Summer School on Circular Bioeconomy in Agriculture was scheduled to take place in Annweiler, Pfalz (Germany) from 3-7 August 2020. On 7 August 2020, the programme was centered around the development of bio-based value chains in the Alpine Space and the AlpBioEco project. Unfortunately, due to the spread of the corona virus, the event had to be cancelled. Now, the Summer School was replaced with an intensive two-day workshop that takes place online in December 2020.
The two-day workshop is again centered around regional circular bioeconomy and especially regional bio-based value chains and combines lectures and group work. After four lectures, the international graduate students will be working together in small groups on specific topics. In the workshop, AlpBioEco project partner MCI and lead partner City of Sigmaringen will be sharing insights into the AlpBioEco project and presenting research activities and project results. In addition, also methods and tools will be presented, that shall support the students in their work on the sustainable use of bio-based value chains and eco-innovation.
