Success for the international workshop "Alpine Food Heritage, Experiences and Challenges in the Bauges Massif and in the Alps", organized by the Massif des Bauges Regional Natural Park, on 1st and 2nd October at the Chartreuse d'Aillon (in Aillon- le-Jeune, in Savoie).
More than 150 people participated in these two days, dense with meetings, experiences, exemplary projects and humanity.
During these two days almost 50 actors (professionals, associations, communities) coming from the Bauges massif and the Alps (Valais, Graubünden and Ticino in Switzerland, Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont and Lombardy in Italy), shared their work and their experiences, with touching stories and a lot of enthusiasm.
From picking wild plants and mushrooms to taking care of a vegetable garden, from cheese bread to honey and ritual pastries, this panorama of know-how has highlighted the importance of passing on knowledge and values to the younger generations.
The alpine food heritage is alive!
It helps to create strong links between very diverse people, participating in the transmission of common values.
