Biotehniški center Naklo is a Slovenian public educational institution working in the fields of food processing, (organic) agriculture, rural development, horticulture and nature conservation. The Slovenian AlpBioEco project partner has 900 students each year, mainly from rural Alpine and pre-Alpine areas.

AlpBioEco's collaboration with the Universities of Hohenheim and Wuppertal: Students publish their work
AlpBioEco cooperated with students from two German universities: Veronika Kowolik from the University of Wuppertal wrote her master thesis on innovative bio-based business models at the example of the walnut value chain and four students of the University of Hohenheim compared the bioeconomy strategies of European countries within the frame of AlpBioEco.

For this year’s European Week of Regions and Cities, AlpBioEco is presented in two online sessions and in an online exhibition booth, together with other EU-projects. On 15 October 2020, the second interactive AlpBioEco session “Let’s make Green Europe happen!” took place online together with the EU projects CaSCo and GREENCYCLE.
