  • Researchers in food culture learn about AlpFoodway at the 12 IEHCA conference

    On 15 and 16 November, AlpFoodway was presented at the 12th conference of the European Institute for the History and Cultures of Food (IEHCA) in Tours (France). The conference “Food as a cultural heritage: Challenges, processes and perspective” brings together scientists from different fields of science to delve into food as a cultural heritage according to the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Heritage.

  • The Alpine food heritage goes in for UNESCO recognition

    On October 4th, at the mid-term conference of the Alpfoodway project, the process for inscribing Alpine food heritage on the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List officially started. This inscription will be the end result of this transnational project, started in 2016 to safeguard local food traditions and bring out an identity element shared throughout the Alps.
